About Us

1. The Stanislaus Memorial Society is a 501(c)3, non-profit, non-sectarian association incorporated in California in 1968 to help its members obtain simple, dignified, affordable arrangements for burial or cremation.
   

1. Society members are provided reduced rates with a local mortuary.
   

1. The Society is not a business; it does not sell insurance or pre-paid burial plans. Its orientation is toward consumer protection and education. It is administered by an unpaid board of directors which is elected at its fall meeting.
   

1. Its nine-member volunteer Board of Trustees usually meets three or four times a year.  The annual meeting of the Society takes place in the fall with notice of the meeting  being sent to all members in the Society’s newsletter.
   

1. Programs of interest to the members and the general public are offered from time to time.
