The FCA has created online forums to encourage discussion and the exchange of ideas and experiences among funeral consumers. Note that you must be a registered user of the site in order to post to the forum threads. To register, visit our home page and click "create an account" on the lower left-hand corner. There's also a Help section in the forums you can click on below.
For those who want a more detailed discussion with funeral consumer advocates and concerned industry people, try our email-based discussion list. To join the list, email: email@example.com. NOTE! - you must put the word gazelle in the subject line (this cuts down on spam-bots trying to join the list).
This forum affords FCA and interested persons with a wonderful chance to provide useful services to members, affiliates, and the public relating to all things funeral.
The beauty of the forums is that they can provide various threads to focus discussions and comments, as well as questions. This is just one way that the web is offering new communications options.
The good news is that these new functions are increasing the volume of posts (or postings) both from FCA contacts and from the general public.
The bad news is that Josh is under pressure to respond to more and more questions and comments.
But with forum capabilities,
The other good news that it is possible for the tasks of responding to postings to be divvied up.
If you will volunteer to assist in this endeavor, let us together see if we can distribute the work among several qualified worthies who would have front-line responsibility for first response. None this is meant to inhibit responses from anyone but merely to set Josh free from the burden of pedestrian responses that are nevertheless useful and needed for developing our online community.
I invite your thoughts and offers of assistance.
