I'm looking for ideas for how our new chapter might go about the process of doing a GPL price survey. Yes, I have read what the guidebook says, have studied the Funeral Rule and the various materials on it FCA offers, and know the "16 points" to look for. But we are wanting to go beyond these basics to use this opportunity to find which mortuaries and crematories are more flexible than others. For instance, we want to ask if they'll offer a very limited number of services a la carte WITHOUT taking on the basic services fee for families serving as their own funeral directors. We also want to go beyond mortuaries and crematories to involve other players -- funeral transport services, grave diggers and others who can offer services a la carte without a basic services fee. Has your affiliate done anything along these lines? I would like to know about your experience.
