TOPIC: Why didn't you go to the Biennial?

I would appreciate knowing some of the reasons people didn't attend the Biennial in Seattle. In addition to the feedback from people who attended, I like to hear from those who didn't. This may give us more information to improve future conferences.

While I love FCA, I hate fllying...especially cross country flights. The airlines have gotten so bad that I'm pretty much at the point that if I can't drive it, I just don't go. I'll probably attend the 2010 Biennial if it's anywhere east of the Mississippi, but Seattle (as much as I've enjoyed it there in the past) was more than I felt I could handle.

I did not go to Biennial because it was too far and too expensive for me. The material was interesting and I would have loved to be able to go.

I say pretty much ditto to GereBurke's comment: plane trips uncomfortable, cost is large, stay is short. Plus travel, in general, is just not physically convenient for me at this stage of my life.

I didn't go because it was too expensive a trip and I didn't have the time available.
